About Us
Who are we?
A traditional Morris Dance team based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK - one of the few mixed Cotswold Morris teams in the area.
What do we do?
We perform morris dances collected early this century from Cotswold villages such as Adderbury, Bledington and Bampton, and Lichfield in Staffordshire (see the PHOTOS)
We dance throughout the summer from May 1st, on Wednesday evenings at village pubs around East Berkshire, and at weekends at fairs, fetes, carnivals and other local celebrations.
We run an Introductory Workshop from September/October (see our programme).
We practice from October to April, also on Wednesdays (see below).
We perform a Mummers Play each Boxing Day - a hero combat play representing death and rebirth, drawn from a centuries-old tradition.
We have also been known to wassail marrows and apples.
Want to know more?
Just turn up at one of our practices, 8:30pm every Wednesday from Sept/October to April in the Scout Hall at Pinkneys Green.
